Facebeats Pro is an interesting new Blender addon for facial animation. Instead of trying be yet another Arkit rigger (where FaceIt is the undisputed leader), it focuses on extending Arkit rigs with specialized shapekyes for “emotions”.
Note that Facebeats Pro does require the 52 ARKit shapes and uses them to create the additional emotion shapes. So you’ll first have to create 52 shapes manually or by using another addon like FaceIt.
Once you have an ARKit-ready model, Facebeats can create 12 additional emotions with just a couple of clicks and also offers an interface to apply the shapes during animation.
The Emotions: Anger, Surprise, Determination, Disgust, Happy, Sad, Fear, Pain, Thinking, Skeptical, Smirk.
