“Draw to Animate” is Blender addon intended to save time and provide a more intuitive animation workflow.
It enables users to animate objects or bones by drawing trajectories directly in the viewport using Blender’s Annotate tool.
You can create movement by sketching paths in 3D space or on surfaces, and rotations by drawing curves around the object. The add-on then converts intersections along the drawn path into keyframes using quick shortcut actions.
Beyond basic motion, the addon includes options for
- combining position and rotation animation
- adjusting timing by total duration or per-step frames
- choosing between constant, linear, or bezier interpolation.
Users can edit trajectory curves and apply advanced controls like axis constraints, automatic 3D cursor updates, and relative trajectory offsets.
Compatible with Blender 4.1 and higher.
