AnimToolBox is a Blender addon that provides a set of tools designed to streamline animation and mocap cleanup workflows.
A standout feature of AnimToolBox is the Editable Motion Path, which allows animators to directly edit animation trajectories within the viewport. Users can add, remove, grab, rotate, and scale selected keyframes, and use new functionalities like Proportional Editing, Smooth Brush, and motion paths for rotation channels.
The path display also supports Visualization Types such as velocity to check spacing.
Beyond the Editable Motion Path, AnimToolBox offers other features including:
- Temp Controls: A modular rigging system for animators that allows the creation and linking of different temporary chain setups (like Temp IK and Temp FK). Animation created with these controls is baked back into the original rig.
- Copy Paste Matrices: Tools like Copy World Matrix help fix technical issues, such as sliding legs in cyclic animation.
- Retime Markers: Facilitates the retiming of motion capture (mocap) or standard animation across multiple objects, bones, and layers using Blender’s native markers.
- Procdural Keyframes Offset: Offsets all keyframes for selected bones or objects using an interactive slider for a non-destructive workflow.
- Relative Cursor Pivot: Uses the 3D cursor as a Temporary Pivot Point.
